Boutheyna Bouslama is a visual artist and filmmaker born in Paris in 1982 to Tunisian parents. She lives and works between Istanbul, Geneva, and Paris. She studied at the École Supérieure d’Arts Plastiques of Monaco, and later earned a Master’s degree in Visual Arts and Cinema from the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD). Her transdisciplinary practice combines documentary, photography, video, and editorial work.Her work explores personal narratives as a means to understand the political. Drawing on archives, testimonies, and field research, she engages with themes of memory, migration, transmission, and resilience — with particular attention to women's voices, their rights, and the strength that arises from the tension between feminism and femininity.
