2000 copies of false swiss residence permits were distributed and disseminated throughout the city of Geneva. This administrative paper, proof of official status, was hijacked and turned into a simple broadcast medium for a form of artist book. It contains a short text that explains, with a funny story, the difficulty of defining clearly the status of an artist as a working responsible part of an active society. The distribution of these false papers questioned the status of a work of art, its accessibility, its value, it’s legal implications and it’s place in the public/private space.
